Thor movie - is it just another movie to dig money from comic fanboys ???

where I watch this movie : MBO spring Kuching n GSC one utama (i watch it twice ????)

honestly I only watch this movie coz its the only movie available as I walk into the cinema. 
I thought it was gonna be like Transformer 2 or Ironman 2 , a movie just to dig money from fanboys like my twin brothers. But I was wrong. I actually like this movie and I watch it again with my brother just because I want to see the clip after the ending when the credits roll out.
 

I admit I didn't read the comic so im reviewing this as a normal person who went to the movies to have a gud time. Thor is a pretty decent superhero movie. Tells the story about Thor odinson referred as God of Thunder by the vikings son of Odin All Father. Thor came from a place far beyond our reach, a place called Asgard (just like Pandora but instead of filled wif Navii creatures it is filled with Vikings RAWR :P )

 Thor was destined to become king but his father felt that he's too arrogant and banish him to earth where he meet natalie portman who's so tired trying to be the perfect ballerina and decided to take a break and work as a scientist instead(kidding). Odin cursed Thor's Hammer Mjolnir (mye neuh) so that only a person worthy of the hammer can wields it.Thor also has a brother who is always jealous of him named Loki (skinny than the other asgardians n dresses in black) and yes he's the bad guy in the movie (shame on you if hadn't guess it yet).

I think there's more to the relatonship between sif the goddess of war and Thor but it was not elaborated much in the movie

All I can say is that the movie was too fast and skip a lot of things. I wouldn't say dat there's no character development because I actually can feel and relate to Loki and Thor's sibling rivalry. I actually felt sorry for Loki. Then again im always attracted to dark creepy skinny guys. The movie didn't tell the story how Thor become powerful like other superhero movie such as spiderman, ironman, the hulk, even wolverine has an origin. When we met Thor in the movie he was already powerful and kicking the giant frost's sorry asses. He lost his power when he was thrown to earth n will get his power back when he's worthy of wielding mjolnir (kinda similar to the story of king arthur n excalibur). The movie had a good choice of actors chris hemsworth, anthony hopkins , natalie portman and i'm so glad the rumors saying dat brad pitt is chosen to play Thor is not true. I wouldn't go two miles near the cinema if that were true.

When I played the game Too Human the dudes are always shouting "In the name of odin" , "what in odin's name ...." In Thor I get to know a lil bit more about the viking's god odin allfather played by anthony hopkin. I also remembered Loki as the god of mischief in The Mask. Loki created the Mask (evil evil Loki)





All in all the movie was good and I think can be enjoyed by the whole family.

just like ironman , xmen , hulk stay until the credit roll out because after that there's a clip showing that Loki is alive


Thor will return in the avengers

Where I watch this movie : GSC one utama

Despite my brother's advice saying that the movie had a change of director n its not gonna be as good as the first 3 movies i still went ahead and watch this movie anyway wif my friends.
Honestly I don't really know who directed  the previous 3 movie and frankly I don't care.
Well at least I know dat the producer is Mr Jerry Bruckheimer.
ok so later I googled dat it was Gore Verbinski who directed the first 3 movie and the latest sequel 'on stranger tides' is directed by Rob Marshall.

For me, I find this movie thrilling and adventurous as it can be. Hey u've watched the first 3 movie so hell why not give the fourth a go ? There r mermaids wif piranha sharp tooth, badass blackbeard, hotshot priest, one legged Barbossa and yes Jack Sparrow... oops sorry correction there Captain Jack Sparrow. I think RM17 is a money well spent to watch my highskool crush Johnny Depp as captain Jack Sparrow in 3D.
Im so glad they didn't replaced J Depp.
So Jack Sparrow's new mission is to find the fountain of youth. Little did he know that his old nemesis Barbossa who stole his beloved ship the black pearl is also after the fountain. Barbossa has sumhow lost the black pearl to a dude named blackbeard, captain of the queen ann's revenge who's the father of sparrow's ex gurlfriend. oh yeah blackbeard is also going after the fountain of youth and so is the spanish and the brits. This movie is really action packed and there isn't a dull moment (okay I admit there are a few boring parts but i was to busy watching Johnny Depp to notice)

As 4 the guys the movie features Penolope Cruz as sparrow's lover from the past. She's so hawt its like she already found the fountain of youth or something. And yeah there's 100+ half naked mermaids.


As for me Curse of the black Pearl is the best Pirates of the caribbean movie. I was really into the manga One Piece which is about pirates and stuff and when out came this movie.
Jack Sparrow is my number 1 pirate. 2nd place goes to monkey d luffy.

why not the second movie the Dead man's chest ?
2nd movie was too dependant on the first movie and in the end the audience was left hanging with a perplexing ending. I like a movie which can stand on their on not dependent on the previous movie or the sequel.


why not the third movie At world's End ?
there's a line in the movie in which chow yun fatt said "welcome to singapore!!!". I was sumhow disheartened. Not that I have anything against singapore or anythin :).

A little bit on Johnny

Johnny is one of 3 of my cute lil rabbits
I got Johnny from Pasar Satok in Kuching sarawak wif Mr Fay
Mr Fay is a very important person in my life but we'll get to that later
Johnny is actually a female rabbit
of course when we bought her we didn't know dat she was female
I love her so damn much
(the other one which we thought was a female but is actually a male we name him Moe)
at first i was hesitant to get a pet
i can hardly took care of myself let alone take care 2 other creature
but after we got them ..... I fell in love

Rite now im very worried of her health n well being as im in KL. Johnny n another one of my rabbit Kecik is taken care by someone else while I was taking my First Prof Exam and while I was in KL . Moe died a month earlier and I was devastated. I can't blame the person who took care of him. I know she did her best.

so maybe I will let makcik cleaner who really loves rabbit take care of my bunnies when i go to sibu next sem
i think they're better off wif makcik cleaner

 

I blame myself for not being there when he needed me most.

I like to think that there's a heaven for rabbits where they can run free on the grass , endless supply of pellet and hay just for you Moe
